My practice is focused in three distinct areas:
Medical Practices - I have worked with dozens of medical
practices over the year and understand the unique issues facing
this industry as well as the specific tax laws that the industry
is governed by. Further, I have a thorough understanding of the
way procedures are billed and collected including the benchmark
statistics that are crucial to a practice's success such as payer
mix, net collection percent, days in AR, etc.
Real Estate - Since the first day I walked in the door
of the tax department at Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1986, not a
year has gone by that I have not dealt extensively with real estate.
Whether it be development, construction or operation of real estate,
I have substantial experience and expertise to meet the specific
needs of this industry. From method of accounting issues for construction
companies to the passive loss rules for investors, to rules relating
to foreign investment in U.S. real property, to like-kind exchanges,
nearly every facet of the real estate industry is understandable
to me. This allows me to help clients develop the most tax effective
strategies at any point of a property's life.
Individual Taxes - Like nearly every CPA, I have an extensive
individual income tax segment of my practice, mainly focused on
higher income households and self employed business owners. I
can help you minimize your tax liability, plan for the future,
form and operate a business effectively and take full advantage
of the numerous retirement, educational and medical tax deferral
strategies available.
